Beyond our recent certifications as Master Scuba Diver Trainers, Andrea and I have some additional good news: We have both recently been featured as Divemaster of the Month by “What’s Hot” magazine here on the Cayman Islands.
What’s Hot is a monthly magazine that runs stories about what’s hot in the Cayman Islands — interesting people, events and activities, lifestyle tips, etc. One of their regular features is the Divemaster of the Month, in which they highlight interesting people working in the scuba industry. I was the Divemaster of the Month for January, and Andrea is the current Divemaster of the Month in the April issue of the magazine.
You might be thinking that it can’t be that big of an industry and that everyone will eventually get featured, but this is not the case. The scuba industry in Cayman is huge and there are hundreds (if not thousands) of people working in dive-related jobs. To put it in perspective, Andrea and I were each the first divers from our respective dive shops to be featured. It was exciting that we both got selected!
